Chamber of Commerce Announces “Shop Smart-Shop Springville” Event
The Springville Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a “Shop Smart - Shop Springville” event from December 1 through 31.  The event rewards shoppers who explore Springville area stores and make their holiday purchases locally.

To participate, shoppers can pick up a “Shop Smart - Shop Springville!” card at any of the 21 participating merchants, the Metro Group/Pennysaver Office or the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce office.  As shoppers do their holiday shopping, participating merchants will stamp their card.  Once a shopper has 5 stamps, they place the card in one of the collection pails at any participating store.  The event runs from December 1-31 and there is no limit to the number of times you can enter.  On January 2nd, the Chamber of Commerce will draw one lucky winner to receive a $200 gift certificate redeemable at local stores.

“Shopping locally makes perfect sense…and perfect cents!” states Kate Moody, Executive Director of SACC.  “Bargains abound, the gifts are unique, the service is outstanding and you are supporting businesses that truly care about our community.  Just think about all the local businesses that sponsor our community sport teams, donate to our charitable organizations and support our fundraisers.  Christmas shopping is the perfect time to support these businesses that support Springville year-round.”

Participating merchants are: Carpet World, Carolsel Shop, Concord Merchantile, DonChelle Salon Spa, Fabric Cottage, Julie’s Pizzeria, Main St. Café, Maurice’s, Medusa Salon, Nature’s Remedy, Open Book Christian Bookstore, Rhapsody’s Gift Gallery, S&S Taxidermy, Shamel Milling, Sheret Jewelers, Southtowns 219 Antiques, Springcreek Pharmacy, Springville Hardware & Home Wear, Witter Davis and Zahm & Matson.
