Genesee Community College Promise Plus Scholarship For
Graduating Seniors
Genesee Community College will once again offer the Genesee
Promise Plus Scholarship program to all 2011 GLOW area high
school graduates. This year the College is also able to invite
Springville and West Valley area students to apply for the GPP
Scholarship.

The opportunity is available because of the working relationships Genesee has with the Springville area community including the Springville Community Education Foundation, the Chamber, and the Arts Council.

Every eligible 2011 high school graduate will receive a scholarship for one or two college courses during the July 5-August 6 summer session.

In the case of Springville and West Valley, Promise Plus is open to all graduating seniors in the district.

Under the Genesee Promise Plus Scholarship Program, students can take up to two summer courses at any of the College’s seven campus locations including Albion, Arcade, Batavia, Dansville, Lima, Medina, and Warsaw.

The scholarship pays all tuition and fees and the student is only responsible for purchasing required textbooks.

These earned credits can be used to get a head start on college and can be used not only at GCC, but can also be transferred to State University of New York (SUNY) schools and most other colleges and universities.

The deadline for submitting the Genesee Promise Plus Scholarship Application is June 17.
The one-page application form is available at all seven Genesee Community College campus locations, as well as on-line at www.genesee.edu/promise

There is no limit to the number of students receiving these scholarships.

The summer schedules of available classes can be viewed through the link below.  Students should be careful about the dates listed for each class - we run a Mod I (5/31 - 7/2) and a Mod II (7/5 - 8/6) - and the Promise Plus is only for Mod II:  http://www.genesee.edu/academics/schedule/dspSearchForm?TERM=201106&ChangeTerm=Select+Term
